The Midstate polls came out this week and three WCS Sports Conference Boys Basketball teams crack the Midstate Top 10 poll and the AAA Associated Press State Poll!  The Summit Spartans (18-2) lead the way with the #2 spot in the mid-state poll and #6 in the State AAA poll. The Spartans are riding a four game winning streak after losing to Top 10 Nationally Ranked Hamilton Heights.  Summit remaining schedule includes another Top 25 Nationally ranked team in Brentwood Academy (At Lipscomb Univeristy on Sat. Feb. 4th), hosts Franklin, at Centennial, hosts Independence for the Border Battle, Centennial, and closes at Ravenwood.

 The Brentwood Bruins (18-5) rank in at #6 in the Midstate poll and comes in at #10 in the AAA Associated Press State Poll.  The Bruins have lost three 11AAA district games (Two to Summit) .  The Bruinslost the Battle of the Woods (Ravenwood) in dramatic fashion when Elon Smallwood of Ravenwood buried a jumper in OT to give the Raptors a 65-63 win. The Bruins remaing games are: at Independence, Centennial, at Franklin and host Dickson County to close the season out before the District Tournament. 

After a thrilling OT win in the Battle of the Woods the Ravenwood Raptors(17-4) march their way back into the Top 10 coming in at #9.
